#Sherryweek – let’s get the party started!
International Sherry Week kicks off tomorrow 2 November, and looks set to be the biggest sherry party the world has ever seen. At last count over 600 events will be happening in bars, restaurants and shops in 24 countries around the globe. And I cannot wait!

So what will I be up to? I’m really excited to be co-hosting a sherry dinner in Cardiff with Bar 44 on Tuesday – the menu looks amazing! Then I’m catching the red-eye flight back to Edinburgh on Wednesday morning to get ready for a sherry and cheese tasting I’m hosting at my favourite Edinburgh deli Goya 23.
Last year I blogged a tasting note a day for the whole week, and my plan had been to do the same this year. But a recent throat and sinus infection meant I only properly got my sense of taste back a few days ago, so I simply haven’t had time to get the tasting done. So this year I’m doing something different – a sherry postcard every day, featuring somewhere or something interesting in the Sherry Triangle. I have a feeling some of them will make you thirsty!
